corner CLICHE

We've all grown up with them--sayings or cliches from our parents, grandparents and for those fortunate, great-grandparents. We've also heard them from uncles and aunts. These gems of thought are passed from generation to generation; transcending across cultural lines, all paving a life-path of instruction, encouragement, and a bit of humor.

These sayings of old, and some new, can entice us to take an introspective evaluation of ourselves. Their wisdom searches for that "sweet spot" in our lives--that place that resonates when we hear something that meets us exactly where we're living life. That place and time when we might need a little nudge to take that risk, to take the next step, or to take heed, be cautious.

Before finalizing and tweaking this link that we'd been working on for the last month, Cornerstone came up with 8 pages of handwritten cliches. As we reviewed the list, we all had the same impression, "These sayings have made an impact on our lives in one way or another."

We hope you enjoy these cliches. Ponder them. Let them feed your soul. Come visit us from time to time and notice how different sayings may affect you differently then when you read them before. Life is like a revolving door. Sometimes we dash out, sometimes we guild and move at the speed of the door. We change and things we've read in the past take on a new meaning, new purpose when we read them again.

If you'd like to share a cliche, please click the "Contact Us" link to make your submission. Cornerstone would like to hear from you and bless others as well.

The cliches aren't listed in any particular order. These are the result of our brainstorm sessions.
